Oh, thank you forever, Mother.

A few years ago, Mom got us a non-squeaky toy called "Heave a Beaver."  (No.  Just no.  Don’t go there.)  MacIntosh loftily disdained it, deeming it unworthy of his teeth.

Archie, however - Arch thinks this toy is primo, settling down with it for a good five minutes and giving me a much-needed respite from active puppy patrol:

Thank you, Mom!

Again with the product placement:

Posing.

Me?  I’m in that "What the hell were we thinking?" phase of dog ownership.  But I’ll get over it.  If I keep up the way I’ve been going, I’ll be able to patent my "New Puppy Workout and Diet Plan."  I put on a pair of trousers today I haven’t worn in a month or so, and they were noticeably looser than when I last wore them.

  • What’s he supposed to do with it? It looks like it should be tugged. But if he’s having fun, that’s a good thing!

I’ve stopped eating so many frozen meals and have started having sandwiches, not for weight, but for cost.
