Oh, thank you forever, Mother.
A few years ago, Mom got us a non-squeaky toy called "Heave a Beaver." (No. Just no. Don’t go there.) MacIntosh loftily disdained it, deeming it unworthy of his teeth.
Archie, however - Arch thinks this toy is primo, settling down with it for a good five minutes and giving me a much-needed respite from active puppy patrol:

Me? I’m in that "What the hell were we thinking?" phase of dog ownership. But I’ll get over it. If I keep up the way I’ve been going, I’ll be able to patent my "New Puppy Workout and Diet Plan." I put on a pair of trousers today I haven’t worn in a month or so, and they were noticeably looser than when I last wore them.

What’s he supposed to do with it? It looks like it should be tugged. But if he’s having fun, that’s a good thing!
I’ve stopped eating so many frozen meals and have started having sandwiches, not for weight, but for cost.
