A More than Fair Day for a Fair

My sweetie took me to the Montgomery County Fair this weekend. We spent about as much time on the midway as it took to get beyond the midway:

Midway Duckies, Dude

Carousel

It's funny - I'm used to more rural fairs, and didn't expect to see this type of thing quite so quickly:

Team of Six

Then, there were the pig races.

Pig Races

Complete with bad puns.

Bad puns, Pig Races, yep - it's the county fair

But dang, it was cute - check out these faces:

Pig race!

Coming off the backstretch...

Bring it on home, #1...

Go, Piggies, Go!

I was using the day partially as a shooting lesson - this one taught me to use framing elements to better effect. Had I moved a few inches to the left, this guy would have been perfectly centered:

What YOU Lookin' at?

Also, next time I spend an hour in the stylist's chair, I'm not complaining:

You must suffer to be baaaaa-tiful

I just love this face:

What a face

And I've always loved Jersey cows with their big, doe eyes:

I love Jersey Cows

This guy...

Attitude, indeed. Llama.

...came with his own warning sign:

Attitude.

I got to see (but not pet) a pair of alpaca!! (I really want an alpaca of my own. It's a rather daft obsession for someone who lives in a townhouse):

My name is Al... Al... Paca.

There were many other cute things.

Cheeep!

Including my husband.

John Meets Moo

Also, many cows.

Hello.

And bunnies! So cute.

Hey Lynda! How 'bout this bunny?

Dwarf bunny

Poultry...

Cluster of chicks.

Last visit - the chicks in the red light district (take that, google-searching freaks):
